Production (UMP) has sought to carve a niche for
itself in the media market since its inception in 1996, in Cairo).The starting point
was the production of TV programs. Over the last few years,
UMP
has widened its scope so as to produce documentaries, radio programs, and other
media services as well.
By the year 2000, UMP began to use the latest trends in satellite
technology as well as the Internet to broadcast its programs. Over the last few
years, UMP has expanded its services to include marketing not only
its production but also others' TV products. In addition, it undertakes commercial
representation and consultation for the other media enterprises, as well as
export and import services.
UMP is also licensed to conduct training sessions, workshops, conferences,
exhibitions, and seminars on media-related jobs and issues. These sessions are aimed
at developing the capabilities of potential and current media personnel, such as
announcers, newscasters, editors, TV photographers, and TV editors.
In 2008, UMP inaugurated its newest branch in Agouza, Cairo and
got itself registered as a multimedia news agency.
